As a "large-scale garden scene lighting art performance", the opening performance with a 40-minute stage performance and nearly 3 minutes of the fireworks show, presented a dreamy garden light and shadow performance feast.
Sha Xiaolu, the general director of the opening ceremony, said that the theme of the party was “Green Life, Beautiful Homeland”, and the biggest feature of the stage design was “Landscape.” “There are mountains, forests, lakes, grasses, and woods around the stage. The beauty of the dance and the surrounding environment bring together an immersive experience.”
The three-layer image of the three-dimensional stage presents multi-dimensional and multi-level dance effects.
Sha Xiaolan introduced that the opening ceremony pursued the spatial design concept from the far-reaching and high-low superimposed visual means, respectively, setting up the main performance area of Wuhu, the middle of the lake in the WIA performance area and next to Qingyang. The long-distance performance area truly realizes the distinct levels of middle, far and near-view, providing a delicate and full visual support for the performance content.
The main stage of Wuhu is the core performance area of the opening ceremony. The whole countertop is a full-coverage LED screen. The outer ring is a two-layer performance platform that can be raised and lowered. The background of the rear area is a liftable LED lifting column.
The WIA installation is installed on both sides of the WIA performance area in the mid-view area. The exterior of the overall WIA frame is integrated with the surrounding environment, and the rain-proof LED flexible grid screen is used as the background to form a visually powerful shock.
The extension of the stage next to the Qingyang State is the extension of the main stage. It is located at the right rear of the main stage. With the forest as the background, it is equipped with a high-definition laser projection equipment set to project laser images for the arched fountain spanning 90 meters, which is integrated with the natural environment. Form a vision with the main stage.
The main performance area of Wuhu, the Huzhong Performance Area in the middle of the lake and the distant performance area along the Qingyang State form a three-layer image relationship, presenting multi-dimensional and multi-level dance effects.

Technically, in the stage design, the semi-transparent grid-shaped large screen was selected for the first time, which is the largest screen in China. “90 screens form a translucent indoor LED screen rental matrix of 140 meters wide and about 2,000 square meters in the air. There is only a single color during the day, but in the evening, the audience can see colorful images on the screen. The screen sees the distant landscapes and flowers, forming a superimposed effect.
For the first time, this performance also applied autonomous holographic screen air image technology in outdoor performances. The holographic screen air image technology creates a three-dimensional image through motion and light, which allows the actors to “disappear” from the stage instantly; the rain LED flexible grid indoor rental led video wall screen not only has the image function of the ordinary indoor rental led display LED screen but also forms a rhyme with the surrounding landscape.
